    Ugh!

Edited to add speculation about the music:
Richard Harris singing "Someone left the cake out in the rain ...
    I don't think that I can take it ...
'Cause it took so long to bake it ...
And I'll never have that recipe agaaaaaaaainnnnn ..."

    it's an actual song, folks!
It sure is. It's from McArthur Park. Personally I prefer to think of Donna Summer singing it, but that's just me.

Sadly, I still miss Robb sometimes.
I think I was one of few people who grew to like Robb.
    Bless 'im.

You're right. I've never tried to figure it out. I guess I'm going to show my age here. I was really into to disco and out every night. At that time, It really didn't matter what the words were as long as it had the right beat. Now, where did I pack that wrap around skirt and high heels??? I know, that's scary.

    Lyrics

Here are the lyrics (just for fun) - anyone care to analyze?

Spring was never waiting for us, dear
    It ran one step ahead
As we followed in the dance
Between the parted pages we were pressed,
    In love's hot, fevered iron
Like a striped pair of pants

    (Chorus)
MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down...
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
    Oh, no!

I recall the yellow cotton dress
    Foaming like a wave
On the ground beneath your knees
The birds, like tender babies in your hands
And the old men playing chinese checkers by the trees

    (Chorus)

    (instrumental interlude)

    (Bridge)
There will be another song for me
    And I will sing it
There will be another dream for me
    Someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm
And never let you catch me looking at the sun
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves in my life
    You'll still be the one

I will take my life into my hands and I will use it
I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it
I will have the things that I desire
And my passion flow like rivers from the sky.
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves in my life
    You'll still be the one
    And I'll ask myself why...

    (verse instrumental)

    (chorus instrumental)

    (instrumental interlude)

Think I'll pass. It would require one too many brain cells. Thanks for the lyrics. I had no idea what half of them were.

The song is nice if it was instrumental, would you agree?

Ok,I am going to show my age here, but I actually owned the original McArthurs Park, with Richard Harris, not Donna Summer, make fun if you will, but I actually liked and still hum along if I ever here it on the radio, which is pretty darn near never. I don't know if you could even get it anymore.....maybe on EBAY or something, but I digress.

I have a question as I am new to Survivor. This is my first one, but not my last one. When Jeff was rounding them up on the boat and talking on that first episode. Osten had 2 bottles of liquor, unopened, still appeared to be sealed, and one was in one of those little velvet bags. I gathered they thought they were going to get to take an item or two with them. At the time I thought it was an odd choice of something to take with you for Survivor. Has anyone ever taken liquor before with them? I mean if your serious about the game, take a knife, bow and arrow, etc. but 2 bottles of what appeard to be good scotch? Just wondering, cause I thought it looked strange. I expected to see some really good cigars or something also...I mean just looked out of place.
Maybe there has been some strange stuff taken with the participants before as I have read in above posts.....like I said this is my first Survivor.
