In an ideal world _______ could win.

Each season events conspire, or are planned, that give unlikely people a chance to progress further in the game.

I don't think anyone was thinking Vee could win early on, but the switch and the alliances with N/P/K/S and immunitites got her to the final two.

There are a few Survivors that I really wouldn't give much of a chance of winning at this point e.g. Jan, Clay, Ken

What events could happen to allow them to porgress further?
(I don't Jan winning if everyone mysteriously dropped dead.)

    Great thread, fluff!
I have to continue promoting my Helen & Jan & Clay & Penny alliance idea. Given this, I would suggest Helen and Jan(!) ending up as final 2. Considering Helen's attitude, ppl might end up voting for Jan!
(I suppose this is not an "ideal world situation", but it would for sure be surprising!)

Well, an alliance between Penny the four of them might not be so far fetched. They are still at the stage of playing a numbers game, it doesn't matter who you have in your alliance as long as you have more people than any opposing faction.

Clay did go to Penny's wedding so that alone would indicate they spent time together and became friends. Whether it was at loser lodge or still in the game remains to be seen.
If Clay gets wind of the fact he is excluded from the stronger Ted/Brian sub-alliance, I feel sure he will be looking to ally with others.

In an ideal world, Kelly from S1 would have won.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

Well, she was stupid and backstabbed people, she only lost by Sue's vote which she would have had ,had she not turned her back on her.

There was already a strange event that happened that may have shifted the game considerably.

Sook Jai threw the immunity challange in ep 3 to boot Jed.

In the end, I think it cost them the game.

    1. Jed was strong and helped them out in the challanges (a lot more than Shii Ann).
    2. They would have entered the faux merge with an advantage.
    3. CG may not have had a run of 4 IC victories.

Because of this, CG - which was practically beaten has the upper hand. Who would have thought that Clay and Jan would have a chance for the final four back in ep 3.

In their arrogance, SJ blew it, and NONE of them will get the million.

You're right Invis, the Sook Jai's basically self destructed in search of a friendly camp.

Little did they know that the Chewing Gums were just as disfunctional.
