I just feel like saying to him in the best sarcastic Georgian way "Bless your heart."

I actually really like Coach this season. I'm not sure if he's upped his meds or what, but the guy seems completely normal. Even likeable! I expected to pull for Ozzy this round, but in my opinion he's coming across like an arrogant snot!
I've liked Coach in all his seasons, with the odd cringe moment here and there of course. In my view hes not much different in his behaviour, hes just edited differently...
-Hes always prayed on survivor
-Hes always done yoga and martial arts
-Hes always had a sensible female as his ally (Debbie, Jerri, Sophie)
-Hes always strived to be the leader
-Hes always helped out a lot a camp (shown differently on Tocans though)
-Hes always been high and might at tribal
-Hes always told wacko stories and generally been a fantasist/eccentric
Possibly the difference this season is he has successfully become the leader so is generally happy most of the time, but Coach is an intelligent guy and a bit bonkers. He knows hes acting up for cameras and he knows his 'brand' works. Put that with him being a general outdoors man and hes always going to get an interesting edit on survivor...
BIG BROTHER INSTANT CELEBRITY MIX- Just add Fame hungry Idiot.
Warning: Effects may not last.
But it goes right along with how he constantly "poses" and tries to convince all of us with his vast knowledge and experience. And that's his character and I don't dislike him...just find him transparent, which would devaste him if he knew people felt that way.
I thought he was a bit smarmy this episode with the praying to find the idol. But, I'm still hoping he goes all the way this time.

He pissed me off last week, but I'm going to chalk it up to his being socially awkward and currently too full of himself because of the tribe's performance. I'd still prefer him to win the whole thing, since I pretty much dislike every single other player this season. I'm not put off by his New Age-iness, because I think his practices are sincere - I respect that even if I don't share those beliefs. Also, even though his leadership is way, way out of the box, it's working.

All this spiritual talk is great and everything...but at the end of the day, there's nothing like a pair of skinny jeans. - Jillian Michaels
Watching the bonus scenes on tonight's episode just reinforced my Coach dislike. I was rolling my eyes through most of the show. From using Brandon's devotion to religion to keep him in line (praying for Brandon to have the strength to keep quiet? Ugh), to accusing Ozzy of arrogance when Coach is easily as arrogant as Ozzy is, to his never-ending name-dropping of greek myths, Nische, etc, etc....OMG I agree he is playing the game but I find him completely odious and overbearing and I hope to NEVER see him on this show again after this season.
Oh no, my opinion is the exact opposite He amuses me, he's gotten quite good at the manipulation aspect of Survivor, he's played well (so far). Would I turn my back on him if I were on his tribe? Heck No! But then I'd feel that way about them all.

Gotta agree with SugarMama - Coach is a riot & that scene with the pork fat had me in stitches (I guess I like that type of humor, lol). I like the interaction between Coach and Cochran as well & I find myself wondering if they were in the final 2 - who would come out on top??
