My only rationale for her telling, is that if she makes it long enough for the loved ones to come rolling in, and Eddie George comes running through the camp, and somebody recognizes him, she would be screwed. Now she said it early enough in the game that it looks as if she never tried to hide it. Could work out for her in that instance. Otherwise, you'd think she would have had to come into the game with that lie ready.

As for Candace and Carolina recognizing her from SWV, they have sharp eyes on them if that is true. SWV was over 15 years ago and at this point quite a few pounds ago for Taj (I understand she's working off some baby weight). Looking at her face (and her nose is distinctive) if you watched SWV back in the day they could have recognized her, however, I don't think that many people would have made the connection.

Good point about the relatives visiting...she'd have settle for a sister or something instead of a husband if she'd kept him under wraps.

Yah try to tell a woman who has been eating grub and sleeping on dirt for 30-somethng days that when time comes for a family visit that she should have her husband stay away... I just get the feeling she would want HIM there!!

And on top of that Candace definitely says she recognized her as a singer right away...so no hope of being on the down low. Taj must have a pretty good idea how recognizable she is to the general public, and black women of a certain age, from her daily life, so she could probably guess that her days of anonymity were numbered.

I was thinking the same--I don't know of Eddie George, but from what I've learned here, he's got to be VERY recognizable to a lot of people. I think it could have been a mistake Are there any rules on which person has to appear on 'from-home' videos? Maybe she doesn't want to lie about being married, but then it would look funny if SO time came and someone other than hubby showed up. Who knows? Anyway, I can respect that Taj has the drive to want to play and win for herself--the hell with being married to a rich guy, so she need not ever try to try to win a game, money, or whatever again. I don't believe in that.Anyway, there is another millionaire on this season, there's been a pro footballer on before, a sports analysist (or whatever Julie was), many many attorneys, doctors, and even last season Matty apparently had some amount of money and blew through it earlier in life. Why people think the money should always go to someone with no money at all, ambition beyond hoping for a small acting job, etc. is beyond me. Even many of the model/actor types on the show show evidence of at least being from well educated or not exactly poor backgrounds. Should Survivor get it's players from the ranks of the 'unemployed for over 6 months' line only? When there is a person on who has no likely shot of ever making a mil outside Survivor on such as Twyla, it seems to create hatred among the viewers anyway, because they don't have the looks or 'niceness' to make veiwers love 'em so much.
I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.

Well, sadly, the way things are going there will be a lot more unemployed for more than 6 months to choose from in our future....

Eddie George is extremely recognizable. Anyone who knows even a little about football would know him as a 4-time pro bowl running back. He also does a lot of sports commentary on tv. I agree that it was better for Taj to reveal it early in case she does make it to family visit episode. Additionally, some people might like to keep her around just to have a chance to meet Eddie George.

Maybe she just wanted to be honest. I know thats not the best in this game, but i had a hell of a lot more respect for her after. I like Taj, I love Eddie George, and I hope she does well.

I love Taj. She's awesome in challenges and from what we see so far, decent in strategy.

However, she's getting so much screen time and an edit of a strategic player that I think she will make it far in this game, but probably not end up as the winner. Also, I am really excited about the 4-way alliance that she and Brendan talked about as it will make the merge interesting!

I'm liking Taj more every episode. She's smart, funny and gorgeous. Plus, she's playing a good game.
