I think Taj said it best in one of her confessionals, "When a 37 year old man talks about himself as the dragon slayer, he probably needs to be in a mental institution."

He displayed humility and self-deprecation and prayed to have forgiveness for Erinn blasting him before he left for Exile.

I'll take a stand up Coach over a sneaky Erinn any day.
Delusional, made up stories? Not me. I think the general consensus is that he's COMPLETELY wacked out. Not just somewhat. Fine on the Erinn forgiveness. Very noble.

Might have to rewatch some of the older episodes to check it out, but I really don't remember Coach talking in the third person like he did on this last show?

    Was that something new?

I like the 'drama queen' description better.

He is just getting started. I hope they put a lid on him during the finals.

I'll admit that I've been having great time snarking on Coach, but I have no sympathy for him. I think the 'humiility' was yet another act put on to get even more attention, and really--I don't think what Errin said was so awful. She just failed to hold it in the way everyone else did. I don't expext everyone to act the same--I wanted Twyla, who most people couldn't stand, to win her season, really wanted 'crazy' Sandy to stay this time, and really, really wanted Yau-Man to take it all on his season.
Coach is different in that his stories are presented as truth, he has to one-up every game (constantly, I did this, only more, in the Amazon) , his attitude toward women is awful, and he's just the biggest poser. And his sniveling not to go to Exile, and pretending to be crippled except while he was actually doing the challenge, collapsing afterward, and then..walking off with not even a limp...that whole episode was something to behold, and I was at it.

And--not that I was crazy about Sierra, but Coach sat right there and told the rest of the tribe a bald faced LIE about her making Debbie cry and so forth. Stand up guy, indeed.
Not that any of this matters, because it is a game.
BUT, continuing to starve himself, to purposely look thinner after the game, and thinking he's running the game from the loser's lodge?

So do I, let's hope Jeff cuts him off a couple times like he did at a few Tribal's. Down with the "Dragon Slayer"

Me too - a perfect description for his behavior in that last episode.

All I could think near the end of the last episode while he was in Exile, was how relieved Taj, Erinn, Stephen and JT must be to NOT have to listen to him and try to be polite...they must all have really needed a break. I think Taj and Erinn were not even that upset about missing the treat, it was going to be so peaceful back at the camp w/o him.

I really hope that Jeff will bring up the lie that Coach told to the school as to the reason that he needed time off from work. For this idiot to claim that he is an honorable man (gag) that always speaks the truth (yea right) and then to find out that not only did he lie to his bosses but the lie that he told was absolutely horrible, I think that it really needs to be brought out to the forefront so that other potential bosses will think twice. Can't stand the idiot at all. Not surprised that he has no "significant other". And yes, he does appear to truly hate and despise women. Probably because they can see thru his crap and call him out on it just like Erinn did (which by the way, I applaud her for what she said and how she said it!!).
