Perhaps he was making it all up, inspired by "Deliverance"...?
Poor taste - whichever. Don't like. :nono

    Me either.
I don't want to go on a rant here, but I hate the way some people make light of the fact they have hurt an animal.
    Yeah Jake, real impressive.

I think he seems likeable apart from that, but I will always have that in my mind when I see him now.

    Please rant away fluff!
It doesn't make sense though... he is all soft about killing the chicken, but has no hesitation about injuring a deer??
Maybe this was a story from his youth, and he has come to his senses since....? I hope so! He might have thought telling a story from his youth would connect with the younger guys (B&T)?

    Hmmm, good point Modesty.
You have to be very careful when you tell stories about issues like that though.
Not everyone agrees with hunting, he should be a little more savvy.
I would ahve had to have said something if I was listening to that story and would have probably got kicked off for it, but what the hell? I would have made my point.

I think Springkey has the idae of it all. I also think Jake was trying to fit in and trying too hard. Remember he's on a fishing trip to get more for the alliance. but he's screwed now that ken is gone. Look out ted, your on the radar screen. Like clay says, "Ted will never find out we set him up", Ted doesn't watch t.v and see this going on later? Wait till they all get together for the re-union. or do they keep forgetting about that?

Jake certainly went into the "shut up no-one cares" crowd with the adventure stories. When will people learn in the game of Survivor when to shut up and when to speak? S10 ...

    Hi joeguy! Welcome!

I'm starting to think that Jake will be the next to leave... Not only is he one of the 2 ppl left of SJ, but he seems to be pretty strong in challenges too. Too bad. Thursday will be an interesting ep. indeed!

Does anyone think Jake should have sacrificed Penny in order to save Ken?

    What do you mean Fluff?
