From what I know, in the past contestants were not allowed to sit out two challenges in a row. But if Abi's only competed in what, two, then I don't see how it works.

Past seasons haven't had so many reward and immunity challenges combined. Abi didn't sit out back-to-back challenges in one day this season so can we please not have this discussion every week? I think it's been covered!
Go ahead and call me Ms. Bossy Pants. I don't care.![]()

They aren't allowed to sit out 2 challenges in a row that aren't 'broken-up' by a Tribal Council. Up until last week (I think), the reward and immunity challenges were combined so it was just 1 challange and then there was a Tribal Council and then another reward/immunity challange, another Tribal, etc, etc, so Abi technically didn't sit out back to back challenges because they didn't have any until last week. Abi would not have been allowed to sit out the Mud Ball challange AND the Toss-a-Ball-into-a-Net Challenge this week because there was no Tribal Council in the middle. To be fair, Jeff just says contestants can't sit out back to back challanges, but doesn't mention that challanges with a Tribal Council between them is not considered a back to back challenge (someone looked it up on Wikipedia last week to verify the rule). Hope that helps.
And Ms. Bossy Pants...neener, neener, neener...I covered it some more. And now I'm done. HTH. :-)
Thanks, mesachick! I'm like the people on that Snickers commercial, where they say they don't act like themselves when they're hungry. A cookie is just what I need to go back to be my sweet regular self!![]()

Carter has gotten so skinny, there's not going to be much left of him. Malcolm just destroyed him....and Jeff Kent too. We need Tandang to lose next week. One more TC and then we'll have the merge. Best Kalabaw can do is to talk to Denise and make sure that she can convince Malcolm to side with them in the merge. With only 4 of them left, they can't afford to lose again because Denise will be Jonathan's next target (Denise has to turn it around to get rid of Jonathan). If Tandang lose the next IC then the merge will have 6 Tandang to 4 Kalabaw. IF Malcolm switches, it will be a 5-5 tie. What do you think should Malcolm and Denise do at the merge? Should they side with the tribe that has the numbers?
Yeah, me too. It kind of amazes me that we don't see people lose their temper with those who are lazy or annoying more often, especially when you consider the fact that they're in a situation where they have little food, are getting very little sleep, and are paranoid about possibly getting voted out. I'd love to see someone refuse to share the food they got with their lazy tribemates lol, that'd probably get them voted out though.
I think I'd have the same problem as Pikachu out there, I'm somewhat of a loner as well, and don't really open up until I get to know someone pretty well. I could see myself going first if my tribe lost the first challenge simply because I hadn't bonded enough with the others.
Well, the preview kind of suggested that there will be a merge next week, though that wouldn't be the first time the Survivor editors misleaded us. That's a good question, and honestly, I don't know what the best option for Malcolm and Denise would be. There's also Skupin and RC who are both on the outs in Tandang, and I imagine would be looking for a new alliance if they both make the merge. If they merged next week, it would basically be Penner/Jeff/Carter vs Pete/Abi/Artis/Lisa, with the remaining four votes up for grabs. They already outnumber the main Kalabaw alliance, maybe the four should team up with them, at least until Tandang's numbers are dwindled. It will be interesting to see what happens.
