Survivor: Philippines Pool

Time to get your war paint on! I'll be running a pool for Survivor: Philippines to let our forum members join in on the competition to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast. Here's how you join!

1. Choose a tribe name.
You can use your forum name if you have no imagination or choose a tribe name that strikes terror into the hearts of your competitors or that represents your tribal spirit.

2. Choose one tribe to associate with.
This season, the castaways are divided into three tribes--Kalabaw (water buffalo), Tandang (rooster), and Matsing (monkey).
Select which tribe you want to champion and when that tribe earns a reward or immunity challenge, you'll get bonus points.

3. Choose one returning survivor.
Jonathan Penner, Russell Swan, and Michael Skupin were former Survivor contestants who were medically evacuated in a previous season. Select which one will last the longest this season.

4. Choose four new castaways.
Select four people from this list to be on your tribe (note: You can choose people from any tribe, not just the tribe you're associated with):

Get your pool selections to me, either by posting in this thread or sending me a private message, by September 25th so I can get my scoresheet ready. I'm giving you a week after the first episode airs so that you'll get a chance to see all the contestants in action to help make your decision.

If anyone wants an avatar with their tribe name on it, let me know and I'll be glad to make one for you. I usually have time during the day to work on art projects.

I haven't picked the members of my tribe yet but I've chosen my tribe name and made a signature image. My tribe is Buffalo Thunder!



BTW, I didn't realize until now we aren't allowed signature images here. That's a bummer! I had made a banner for my tribe but I'll have to cut it down to an avatar.

I haven't thought of a name yet. Maybe I'll keep it simple with "Team Johnny K". Or maybe I should pick my people first and decide which name suits the group.

I had already chosen Kalabaw before seeing the premiere because I love buffalo!

3. Choose one returning survivor.
I was planning on choosing Russell but after seeing the premiere, I'm choosing Michael. I hadn't seen the original season he was in so I knew nothing about him but after watching him in action, I'm impressed! Not with his clutziness, though.

4. Choose four new castaways.
I choose Artis, Carter, Denise, and RC.

5. Designate one member of your tribe to be your tribal leader.
Tough decision. I'm going to go with my gut and choose Denise.

Can I pick Penner? If it's gotta be a newbie then I'll pick Professor Malcolm.

You absolutely can pick your returnee as your tribal leader, JohnnyK! I was very tempted to pick my returnee, Michael, as my tribal leader but I'm worried he's going to take himself out with an injury before the end so I chose someone else. I hope I don't end up regretting that.
