Yes! Where was this man the whole season?? I love this Rick!!

For all we know, he was there all the time. The problem is that they kept telling the same couple of people's stories over and over again. Honestly, Sophie didn't get all that much camera time either. I think the RI competitions cut down on showing more of all the players too.

Or, it could be that Rick, like the stereotypical cowboy, kind of keeps things to himself until it's necessary to call people out.

I think he might have been thinking more of how Coach and Albert lied while claiming to be such honorable men, which may be why he gave Sophie more of chance to speak--she never actually claimed to be playing with integrity.

I'm sure, but seriously....anybody who goes into this game and expects honesty is in for a HUGE letdown. He should have known better (assume his anger is sincere, but since we don't know this Rick person, who knows? )

I'm glad he found out, though. He needs somebody in his life who can teach him to be less naive without becoming bitter.

Everybody is a human. But Survivor and all reality shows is about lying, cheating, cunning, manipulation, hurting peoples' feelings, etc. Unfortunately, you can't play nice when $1M is on the line.

Yeah, but there's lying and there's lying--and just like a lot of us were annoyed that Coach kept using religion as a justification for his behavior or spouting scripture with one hand and stabbing people in the back with the other, I think maybe Rick found that particularly galling, especially since he really manipulated Brandon with that kind of behavior, and Rick seemed to be sympathizing with Brandon during the last TC, reaching out to him when he seemed especially hurt.
