I am sure that Phillip got an eye full when he watched himself on the show from week to week. He most definitely got the "crazy" edit, and he gave them plenty to work with. But he sure was very subdued last night at the reunion. That's for sure.
I still say this man had a really good shot at winning this game. All he had to do was stand up at the final tribal and say that it was all an act and they all fell for it, so he should win because he met the definition of "outwit, outplay, outlast" better than anyone on the island!
I wouldnt mind bringing him back, he was very entertaining.
I think he played the crazy card so well that it backfired. I loved every second of the `Phillip show' and had he broken from character during the final council and explained himself better I think the jury would have been more inclined to vote in his favor. Ralph was the only person to `get' Phillip.
Someone truly off their rocker couldn't have hacked 39 days the way Phillip did.
It was clear at the reunion show Phillip is a different person than the Phillip we saw on Survivor.
At least he kept me entertained during an otherwise, imo, wretched season.

Phillip's antics cracked me the heck up, and I would happily watch him again.
Although Phillip was very subdued at the reunion show I wouldn't like to see him again. Unless they edited his speech at the F3 TC he never followed through on his plan to reveal that his abrasiveness was all a scam. That makes me think that a lot of his behavior was the "real" Phillip, and that he really is mentally off...which makes me uncomfortable being amused by him. He's even more off than Coach, and after a while I even began to feel sorry for Coach.
Horrible thought---the returnees are Phillip and Coach!![]()
Did anyone else get the idea that Philip was back on his meds? He was very subdued. But honestly, I think the crazy wasn't a complete act. He never showed the lucid side in his PI's and that's where the confessions usually show themselves. I don't dislike him, though. I think Rob nailed it on the head when he said all Philip is looking for is a little attention and love.
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didn’t hear me call shotgun.
Boy (n) : Noise with dirt on it.
There's a thought. Really, quite possible.I agree, and I think it speaks volumes for Rob as well. Both that he understood that part of Phillip and that he was able to explain it on national tv with such respect and compassion. It made me really like both of them a lot more.I think Rob nailed it on the head when he said all Philip is looking for is a little attention and love.
I agree that Rob has fine tuned his people skills and is probably correct about Phillip. Most people who cry out as loudly as Phillip was during "Survivor" are struggling with a need to be accepted and loved. Either that or they forgot their medication. I really want to believe with Phillip it was all just and act.
