I was also surprised that everyone just assumed Kelly (that's her name, right? I'm terrible with names) would get a sympathy vote in the finals before they really had a chance to get to know her. Now, she seems very nice so far, but for all they knew, she was going to be really snotty or bitchy or whiney or whatever. I'd think that would outweigh any sympathy she might get for having a birth defect that she seems to be managing very well. If I remember correctly, there was a woman on the Amazing Race who had a prosthetic leg, and I didn't like her because of her personality. I didn't feel that her disability outweighed her attitude in terms of sympathy, though, of course, there isn't really a sympathy factor on AR.Originally Posted by Kocky_Kamikaze;4062147;
I'm also thinking Kelly would be rolling her eyes to hear everyone going on about how terrible it is that she only has one leg. I suspect she's there, at least in part, to show them that a disability does not make one an automatic human tragedy.
