It's so obvious, I wonder if he is showing it off. His knees might still be a weak point for him.

Doesn't look like a UTR kinda guy, at least.

Here's hoping he shows Russell the right way to be aggressive, cunning and devious, unless he also can't get out of the way of his own brilliance.

I wonder what color his hair will be as it grows out. I bet no one will guess he's 63, and if he's smart he won't mention it for it a while.

What a ridiculous person he is.
I'm all for buying quality clothing, but $1600 shoes, that you then take to Survivor? What a clown.

And then you TELL people you waste $1600 on a pair of shoes which you really waste by bringing them to a place like Survivor! So obviously you have no need for $$! And you know that can matter in the end.

That was my first thought when he said how much the shoes cost. Same as when Casanova said he'd paid $1,000 for a pair of slacks that got cut up on Project Runway. I wouldn't even know where to shop to get $1,600 shoes or $1,000 trousers!

I agree, I just cannot wrap my mind around him bringing $1,600 alligator shoes to wear on Survivor. Even if they were high tech, super comfy althletic shoes, I wouldn't understand. That's like a woman wearing a killer engagement ring with a solitaire diamond on Survivor. You ain't gonna be bringing 'em back home with you!

I have to say that the only exceptional thing about Dan is how ridiculously UNexceptional he is. I can remember a less engaging, less important or less consequential survivor contestant ever. Seriously, he adds nothing to the show... what a waste of space this guy has turned out to be.

If he should win this thing, it will officially mark "Survivor" jumping the shark. (Although back-to-back seasons of Russa Hayntz definitely set up the water-ski ramp.)
