We know that Jeff spends time carefully organizing the order in which votes will be read. We didn't see it, but do you think after Russell gave Pav the idol that Jeff regrouped? Quite a difference reading Russell - 2 - Pavarti 5, and skipping Tyson's votes altogether because Pav has just been voted off.

No, players have to tell the producers if they give the HII to someone else ahead of time so Jeff already knew Russell was going to do that.

The HII was also already played by Tom a couple of episodes ago. We haven't heard that it has been rehidden or anything so that could also be a reason why Jeff didn't ask.

Russell and Rob next week should be interesting. This week, however, Russell owned it. Brilliant move.

Great show, I'm actually rewatching it.
I'm not sure if I agree with all the Russell praise to outplay Rob. I think Rob spoke and figured no one would flip no need to discuss the voting again. The fact that Tyson did flip, it looked good on him to be voted.

So so glad Rob is still in it.
I will continue to watch now.

Tyson is so stupid...Russell's on the other side!!! He must not have told anybody about him switching votes, or they would have told him how stupid he was for even thinking about switching his vote.

I did think James revelation about banana etiquette at tribal was funny.

I say enough of the two tribes...merge and let the games begin!

He wasn't sacrificing himself. He knew that they were trying to flush the idol out of him while voting Parvati out. He either didn't think they'd be smart enough to split the vote 3-3-3 or he was really sure Tyson would switch his vote.

Is this Russell-Parvati thing real? Can't imagine the latter with the former. Plus, Russell is married (seemingly happy, too) and has a daughter.

Russell was pretty amazing tonight. He reminded both Coach and Parvotti of the loyalty issue while simultaneously booting out his biggest competitor's ally.

but here's where i'm confused, how did russell know how the votes were going to be split, how did he know he had to target tyson knowing he was going to vote for him then try to change his mind to parv.....i'm thinking coach told him????
