Survivor Prize Breakdown?

Does anyone know how the prize money is divided up on the latest, or any Survivor?

I know first place gets $1 Million, and I have heard $100,000 or $150,000 for second place, but what about third, fourth, etc...?

First place = $1 million
Second place = $100,000

No one knows the rest - they're not allowed to tell.

My guess is something along the lines of $25k or so on down.

I read during the first survivor that the 3rd through last place finishers basically got $1000 per day that they lasted. I have not seen anything recently so don't know if this is still true.

I think the third place person gets $75,000 or $85,000.
I can remember reading that after the hoohar surrounding the penultimate IC (the who has no piercings question that Lex actually did get right), both he and Tom had their winnings increase to $100,000.
I think the article said Lex's went up from either 75k or 85k.

I always wondered about who got what money as well! I thought maybe the jury was the only ones who got money, though. I've never really heard, but 75 or 85k sounds about right.

Are those figures before taxes or after taxes - and if before, how much do they end up getting in the end?

It would be before taxes, and the Gubment would take about 38% of that off the top.
