I do wonder if Probst could keep a straight face if Jason presented him the idol and asked if it was for real. I'm sure his response would be "You'll find out" but would he have kept it serious or looked like he was ready to burst out laughing?

I don't know, that fake idol looks so real, it could fool Probst too...

I'm a little late in commenting, but I wanted to anyway. Wow, I was really fooled tonight, my sister was visiting and we watched the how & after Ami turned on the water works I said to her, "I'd bet money she stays & Eric is out! Crying always gets sympathy!" Good thing I wasn't in Vegas, I would have lost!

And I'm still suprised, I know she wasn't in tight with the Favs but I thought she had them convinced.

I pretty sure Jason was wrong about no one eating a rat since season 1. I could swear that someone did in maybe season 3 or 4, I can't be sure which but I remember his explanation to try to convince another player that it would be allright (they were starving at that point) was that it wasn't like city rats & possible disease, these were island rats and since they ate " healthy", so to speak ( meaning not garbage & stuff generated by humans) that there was little chance of catching anything. I don't know if he was correct but it sounded good. And once he (sure wish I could remember what season it was) convinced the other person to taste the meat, they liked it. Me, I think I'd starve first!

No offense but I wouldn't call that rationing. Maybe I'm being picky, but I seriously thought you meant the tools were being lent out to each tribe member on an even basis. ETA: That would have made for an interesting dynamic because someone would have to be in control of that.

ETA: Rationing is spreading out the use of something evenly. Like 10 people and 10 crackers. Each person gets one cracker.
