Surviving Survivor?

I've been reading a bit about the Swedish version of Survivor ("Expedition Robinson") in the Swedish newspapers this season, and it's been all about how ppl almost died from injuries and/or lack of food/water, how they have been sick for months afterwards, and how they have had to seek therapy afterwards b/c of the horrible phsycological stress they've experienced.

I've never read anything like that about the contestants in Survivor (except Daniel now). Has anyone heard anything else?

I remember reading somewhere that Lex was ill for quite a while after he got back from Africa...

A few of the Survivors have talked about the permanent scars from bugbites.

Losing hair, flip-flopping weight gain & loss, etc...

You're right about Lex Lobes.
He was ill for quite some time.
If you cast your mind back to the final day in Africa, he'd been up for most of the night running to the "washroom".
He was very weak on the final day and barely made it through the tribal ceremony they had let alone the final IC.
This was the start of his illness, I believe he had dysentry.
Most unpleasant for him.

Dysentery is not good. Strange he didn't get shots against it.
Sounds like the Swedish Survivor was rougher - though it doesn't surprise me for various reasons... .

I don't know what precautions they had to take before going out there.
I'm sure they had to take certain shots.
It realy didn't help that they were bathing in an elephants toilet.
I'm sure that played a part.

Ewwww..... didn't they know that???!!!!!

Uh, yeah they did.
There were some shots of Kim J bathing literally about a foot away from a huge pile of dung.

I think it was such a potentially dangerous place, they barely set foot outside their boma, that they had to just use the very limited water source they had.

Maybe because Sweden doesn't have the kind of lawyers the US does.

I thought that the girl that came in second (can't think of her name) on S1 had something really bad after she came back. Does anyone remember what it was???
