Yeah Maveno, my non-Tivo memory thought the same thing. Are you sure it was just a cigar he was smoking??!!??

Anyway, I like Gary a lot more now than I did in the beginning (this may just confirm my inability to go against the underdog...) so I hope he does manage to stick around and throw a wrench in the Axis of Evil. Danni sure doesn't seem to be trying to do anything and now that BJ and Brandon are gone, if Gary doesn't manage to break the alliance, nobody will. And I hate it when a group of players have the power and just pick off the others one by one - it was much more interesting when TC use to have a variety of votes for whom to send packing.

And since I've stopped watching, I was wondering, couldn't Gary tell the others where he found the Idol, just casually, and then let them all come to realize Judd had lied?? That way Gary let's them know, but he lets them figure out the implications all on their own.

    Well, he sure could Melsevene

what my Mamma used to call.......stirring the pot.

a pot of poop that is....you stir it until the stink rises up...and then walk away and watch others as they walk into the smell.

somehow, I think Gary will do a little more than ...'stir the pot'.

Just so you know, gaebolga, I don't think you're a geek and I guess it takes me a couple of times before I learn cuz I didn't catch the name of the thingie until your post, so you could say you drilled it into my head so maybe it'll stick.... nah, probably not, but thanks anyway!

I'm thinking remembering the proper name for an atlatl is not something that will come up in day-to-day life. But hey, you never know when you might be deserted on an island and forced to rely on that atlatl to...play arrow-throwing games.

Eh, it has a weird name anyway. Atlatl. Who uses the "tl" combination like that?

Drilled into your head yet? Maybe one more time will do it. Atlatl.

    Atlatl.

I wonder if Gary will talk over his stragegy with Danni before he exposes Judd.....or if he actually will expose him tonight.

If Lydia is approached with a "proposition" toinight...however she reacts will determine whether Gary will even be shown on tonight's show.
Frankly Jamie we don't give a damn.

When I first heard that former NFL quarterback Gary Hogeboom would be on Survivor, I thought that this was a publicity stunt with the show airing during football season. I had concerns that he wouldn’t bring anything but celebrity status and, once the going got tough, we would have a quitter.

Now that I’ve seen him on the show, especially the last few episodes, I’ve grown to like him considerably and am glad he was cast on the show. Thanks.

He has been, in my opinion, a very strategic player with excellent interpersonal skills. I enjoyed how he saw through Judd and presented the Immunity Idol at Tribal Council. Then, I realized how much I wanted him to stay in the game. I also like how he was able to convince the other alliance to keep him over Jamie, although Jamie had something to do with that too. But, Gary and Danni saw a weak link and were able to break it. Good for them. I have grown to love his confessionals too.

Picking him as a favorite to win is still tough; I can’t get over that he is in more of a situation of not needing the money over any other contestant, past and current. Maybe I’m wrong, but I still feel that way. I’d love to see others’ reactions if he confessed who he really was seconds before having his torch snuffed. However, I’d love it if he made the Final Four and had influence on the outcome. In my mind, he has earned that.

Nice post Moekle........I am in total agreement with you.

However I don't think money should come into play with any of the contestants winning or loosing. I don't even think it should be on the application what they do for a living or how much money they have. It is playing the game that makes me root for them not how rich or poor they are.
If everyone was on equal footing then there would not be any green eyed monsters playing the game.

I agree, I'm completely a Gary fan. Their careers 15 years ago have nothing to do with the 3-week stint they're living now. If this game should be based on who has the least savings from the last 15 years, all they'd have needed to do is bring their past bank statements... not live through a month of dirt and bug-eating and crocodile-swimming.

Gary is the most entertaining on this show, for me, because he's using a large variety of tricks. He doesn't have a golden ticket, he isn't by default the strongest, the best-looking, the most-likable,... so he has to reach in numerous places and employ a lot of different strategies to stay in the game.

I much prefer to see a unpredictable show, rather than the order of extinction being established when there are still 9 in the game and have the people kicked off in that predictable order.

I would have the ultimate satisfaction from this series if Gary would outlast Queen Stephanie. He's the only one cunning enough to dethrone her. The rest of the remaining contestants are just putty.

I hope Gary's the next one gone. I'd like him to go even before Steph (I could live with him sticking around if Lydia was the exit instead).
