True, but they would be totally stupid to let a really strong player like Tom go. Sending a representative for anything, cannot be good. Either send a really weak player or a middle of the road player, but certainly not your best players. And even if, say, it ended up to be a very physical challenge thing and Tom would have been the best rep to go - it would still make more sense to keep him and lose a challenge, then lose him altogether.
