As soon as the switch took place John showed his cards to the new Rotu members.
He had the background knowledge to go far in the game but his alliance's blatant arrogance put paid to his challenge.

He was a riot. I couldn't believe how drunk with power he became. The episode in which he was booted will go down as one of the all-time best episodes of Survivor ever. The Immunity Challenge was a stroke of genius, and it played out in a way nobody could have ever expected. Brilliant psychological theatre.
