Did Gabe live up, or down to your expectations?

I liked Gabe a lot.
I thought he was a sensitive hard working guy.
I guess I'm too competative to understand why he would go on Survivor and then not really try to win.
I like the way he stood up for his beliefs and even when he knew he was going he still refused to turn his back on his old rotu team mates and vote to boot John off.

He was a nice, loveable nutjob. You don't go on Survivor to build a society. You go to win the game. I will never understand his philosophy. It did lead to an interesting development, however, as his departure led to an entire tribe consuming itself, which was a Survivor first.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

Yes Paulie.
Had Gabe wanted to play the game and stuck with his original tribe, the Rotu originals would no doubt have picked off the new members and the old rotu members back ofter the merge.
We would have had a very different outcome.
