Gay or Lesbian contestant?

I wonder if there is a gay or lesbian contestant this year, we haven't had a gay contestant of survivor for 2 seasons, which is a long time for a reality show.

It seems to me though that there isn't one this year as well, how odd.

Well i guess it's not that big of deal, i just find it kind of weird, expecially for a reality series.

It is kind of strange,but as I recall the last openly gay contestant was John Carroll from S4.

I'm no Survivor expert either. I just remember Richard Hatch won the first Survivor and he was gay. It seems that once a certain type of contestant wins, contestants in later seasons will see that type as a threat and try to eliminate them.

If memory serves me, the only openly gay contestants have been S1's, Richard Hatch, S3's Brandon Quinton and S4's John Carroll.

Maybe there's one for S7, and they decided to keep it in the closet for some reason?

Not many people know this, but Sonja Christopher from S1 was also gay; ironically the first ever Survivor to be booted and the first ever Survivor champion were both gay.
