Well I know for sure what would have happened to me if I had ever back talked my mother like that...and she was not one for spanking....but I bet I never would have screamed at her again

Boy, it is terrible to know how easily just any idiot can have a kid to raise (and then inflict on the rest of us).

Okay, that's the end of my rant.
Sure am and sure do know....I deal with them every single day AND it is NEVER the parents fault, everyone picks on their kids

Yeah - some friends of mine went through the wringer trying to adopt a kid, but if she had been fertile they could have had as many as they wanted - no questions asked. I agree that you don't want orphans going to unsuitable homes, but why is it OK for a regular kid to be born into an unsuitable home?

And I still don't see these parents as particularly bad.

    G'night Pom!

Sounds like a porn flick "Oooo, stay on the naughty spot."

Too bad parents don't have to go through training first.

I am in tears from laughing at how we can turn a show into an x-rated show just by one comment. I would be so careful if I was going to be on national television with every word. I would screw it up some how.

That's the rub, isn't it. If you want to be a doctor, lawyer, etc. you need extensive schooling. Yet parenting is the most important "job" in the world. But there's just no way you could demand that people be licensed before they procreate.
