In LA, apparently, they are showing it on KCAL 9 an independent station affiliated with KCBS. OR, wait until 11:35 PM to watch on KCBS.

So...the double header is effected both coasts.

    Re: Pro Football 2015-2016

    Man do I love football.

    K. Here's who I love every season.

Lions: Because they're my home state team, who really really REALLY need to bust outta this sh#thole losing streak. Would be SO so SO fun and THRILLING to see them at least go to the Superbowl (if not win it).

Packers: Because they're close to Michigan and MOST importantly they're fan owned, not company. Have always been a fan since I was a wittle girl.

Steelers: Because I grew up loving them (thanks brother & Lynn Swan!). ALWAYS have rooted for them, and love'm!

and finally.. ONLY because my favorite football watching buddy, neighbor, friend..Corri grew up in California and is a die-hard fan of the...

49'rs: Last year was the first and ONLY year I ever rooted for them. If it wasn't for my football buddy, I wouldn't have. BUT, since I did, my fan dedication drove them into the playoffs. {blowing knuckles} This year I don't want to root for them again, but Corri was over the other day, and I think I'm pigeonholed into always being a fan. sigh. So, expect another good year for the Niners.

There ya have it kids. That's my football season, hopes, dreams, heart stopping team lineup. Good luck to all, and Godspeed.

ETA: I have a jersey for every team listed.

    Oh no. Damn it.
See, when I root for the 9'rs, it takes away the good juju for the actual REAL teams I want to win. It's an awful feeling to have Punky. BUT.. since I'm a 22 yr Californian, I guess I have to get with the program.

Don't get sucked in Maveno! The Niners are the hipster/yuppie team. There's another NoCal team you can root for. The People's team, the Oakland Raiders! It's frustrating fun rooting for the underdog.

I've NEVER heard of the Raiders being called the "People's Team".

I'm tossing around the idea of having a football pool on the Fort. Hmm. Maybe I should talk to the pool guru Pikachu first.

It sounds funny, but in truth the Raiders have been the 'urban' team of choice for many cities without a home team. (and even some with a team) It stemmed from the proliferation of the Bloods and Crips gangs in the 80s. Urban youth didn't want to get caught up as collateral so they avoided wearing the colors red and blue. (the colors of the gangs) Instead, they would chose the Raiders who had colors that offended no one. To this day Raider gear is abundant in the inner city. Hence, The People's Team.
