Carli Lloyd was on fire! That goal from midfield was amazing.

Great night here in the nation's capital. Team USA (including local Ali Krieger) wins the World Cup, and our Nationals complete a sweep of the defending World Series defending Giants! And right after the Fourth of July too

Absolutely loved watching the girls. I only wish more of the games had been broadcast on Fox rather than the Sports channels. They aren't in high-def here. Carli was amazing!

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I went to the ticker tape parade today. It was very crowded but so magical. Lot's of children and all kinds of paper falling from the sky.

I had to bump this up even though The World Cup has come & gone. These incredible women are in the midst of qualifying for The Olympics & still kicking butt & not stopping to take any names. I absolutely love watching them, they are FIERCE! On Monday night they beat a woefully undermanned Puerto Rico 10-0, but did it with 8 brand new starters while resting the main core of the team.

The coach of the Mexico team stated that the USA could put 2 teams on the field & they would both be in the top 10 in the world & I have no doubt that's entirely true.

Give it up to TEAM USA WOMENS SOCCER!
