The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

The temp was in the high 70s and the humidity in the low 80s. Have they never heard of Florida? Anyway, the announcers were English, so maybe not. All they could think of was that their shirts were sticking to their backs.

I was sort of cheering for England, but wasn't sad Italy won. Forza Italia!

Today's (6/16) Google Doodle is a nod to book lovers. They show all the letters + except for the L doing the wave as a unit. Once they've sat down, the L who is reading a book makes a short rise from its seat. It is an homage to readers and funny.

Of Interest to Bachelorette fans, a paragraph about building green for the World Cup:

Brazil Hopes Massive Green Building Projects Create a Sustainable 2014 World Cup

Global heckling aside, Brazil will roll out impressive facilities that could both score international green building certifications such as LEED while adding to the country’s rich modern architecture legacy. Much of the credit for Brazil’s greening of the World Cup goes to Vicente Mello and Ian McKee, two architects who drafted the CopaVerde plan, which advocates for the most responsible construction practices possible for the event’s venues.

.....Mello and McKee have also pushed for green building standards for Brazil’s airports, hotels and hospitals.

Are International soccer players required to attend the LeBron James school of flopping?

I can't express the level of joy I feel that the vuvuzela was left in South Africa where it belongs.
