NASCAR - 2012 season - begins Sunday, February 26th

I started watching NASCAR about 19 years ago. I was a "fan" for a long time, but lately (the last 3 years or so), I've watched only occasionally - mostly because it was Sunday afternoon and there were no other sports on. I've grown cynical, watching the same 4 or 5 drivers take turns winning every other week.

I'm willing to give the new season a chance, hoping it will redeem itself.

Is anyone else still interested?

The BUD SHOOTOUT starts at 8pm Saturday night - February 18th and the GATORADE DUALS are Thursday, February 23rd.

Once football season starts I usually stop watching but I will watch most races during the spring/summer. It's going to be interesting to see some the changes this year - Kahne with Henrdrick and Kurt Busch who knows where after his meltdown.

Kasey started out as my daughter's favorite - although that probably had very little to do with his driving abilities!!! Hoping his season turns around. He did so well in so many races, until it got close to the finish and then BAM! Seemed like he was always getting caught up in a wreck.

Wouldn't give you two cents for both Busch brothers.

Rain delayed the start of the Pocono race today and then it came back and ended it early.
