I mean I do think he is talented, fantastic, but a few years ago he started to act very "entitled" and it rubbed me the wrong way.

Looks like whatever troubles took Rafa out of Wimbledon are still not resolved.

I was just going to post that. What a shame. You really want to have everyone who can be there, be there, especially the top players.

I saw a post earlier today on Facebook. Such a shame. Kinda makes me think his knee was more messed up than anyone really knew. Wonder how long he played through the pain?

And if playing on it, he screwed it up more?

It's so disheartening to see him falling farther and farther down in the rankings. He worked so hard to get to #1 and now it's slipping away at a pace that might be hard to overcome.

But the nice thing about the way they calculate the tennis rankings is that it does make it possible for players to bounce back after being out for injury. The points used to calculate are based on defending the points you earned the previous year. For all of the tournaments Rafa has missed due to this injury, he'll have no points to defend. So if he heals, and is back in the tournaments next summer, if he does well, he'll gather up a lot of points quickly.

Olympic gold medal winner Andy Murray lost to Frenchman Jeremy Chardy today in Cincinnati. His early exit isn't good news with the U S Open just around the corner.

Federer, Del Potro and American Mardy Fish are all through to the next round.

More then likely Murray was exhausted from the Olympics (at least I hope). I hope he wins the USO.
