Mahut (89th) tried valiantly to keep up with Federer. Took 4 sets to decide the winner, but it's a match that has to have had a positive impact on Mahut's self esteem.

Djokovic had a much easier time with his match, but then again, he is #1 for a reason!

    Another weird day in tennis.

    #1 Azarenka is out.

#1 Djokovic needs all 5 sets to win against #25 Seppi.

Federer is challenged by Goffin - who's outside the Top 100 somewhere.

Tsonga & Wawrinka match and Del Po's match against Berdych called because it was too dark to continue.

    More great tennis today.

Djokovic had another squeaker against Tsonga. It was an epic 5 set battle. Del Po gave Federer a run for his money in the first two sets, but Federer ultimately prevailed.

Next two matches: Nadal plays Almagro and Murray takes on Ferrer.

Both Tsonga and Del Potro really seemed to fizzle at the end. I am watching Nadal right now. Murray is not looking so hot.

I missed Nadal match because I had an appointment. Heard he was awesome. Really expected Murray to win his match, but he is his own worst enemy.

Murray has been having a tough tournament so it wasn't a big surprise.

Right now Stosur is in a close match.

The women's match will probably be over fast. I am looking forward to a good men's match, the semifinals were a disappointment. I did expect much from the Nadal match, but I though Federer would have been more competition!

Sharapova wins the FO and moves up to the top spot in the rankings.

On the men's side, it's odd that both semis ended with straight sets. I'm too lazy to look up the stats, but I doubt that happens very often.

There have been so many finals with Nadal and Djokovic - usually with Djokovic winning. Although I liked Rafa first, I really don't care who wins because they are both great players and good people off the court. I want Rafa to win just to even the playing field a bit. With just 1740 points separating the top two (as of right now), a win for Rafa could put him back on top.

Either way, it's historic. If Nole wins, he's the first in 43 years to win 4 consecutive majors. If Rafa wins, he'll be the only man with SEVEN French Open titles.

The straight sets kind of made the semi-finals anti-climatic, especially as the QF with Tsonga and Del Potro went 5 sets. I like Djokovic, but I really like Nadal. I want to see him be considered the best ever on clay if he isn't already.
