Same here — talk about a week of upsets! I'm glad the pool I'm with only plays for bragging rights, no money.

As many upsets as there were I was tied for first and lost out on MNF points. Crazy....

Wow. No question as to what San Diego's Xmas gift to Detroit is this year . . .

Could the answer be PLAYOFFS? I am so excited! That is the first game this season where Detroit has looked like a playoff caliber team. I love Megatron!!!

I think any two-bit junior varsity team could have looked like playoff-caliber against the Chargers today.

Actually, I thought the Lions played very well regardless of how terrible the Chargers were. They are definitely above a "two-bit junior varsity team".

Matt Stafford had a career day, we had very few penalties (which have been a big deal this year) and we had some very big plays on defense. Even Phillip Rivers said he had to give some credit to the Lions because they flat out out-played them.

The Playoffs are going to be exciting!

Lions have been impressive overall this season. I'm thinking that maybe they scared the livin' crap outta the Chargers going in!

Also the Chargers are one of those teams (like Dallas) where you never know which team is going to show. Thankfully, it was the one where Philip Rivers doesn't have a record day.

. . . unless you're talking about record bad, which seems to be the theme of this season.
To his credit, he's not as bad as Ryan Leaf.
But San Diegans are less than enamored with him. Along with Norv.

    • clinched division title
    • clinched first-round bye
    • clinched #1 seed
    • clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs
