Yeah, I know, they're really quite different, but they have many things that are the same. I just think they need a bit more time to mature.

    That would be sweet

Kind of like the Mario / Canadiens rumour

M o s a i K we have calmed down a lot about Detroit since the Evil Hasek left . Plus Drapes and Maltby showed a lot of class in turning the grind line international. True fans are always welcome and appreciated. It's just the bandwagoners that suck.

I mean look at the teams WE cheer for :rolleyes .

    Yeah.

At least someone who admits they're a bandwagoner isn't as bad as someone who denies being a bandwagoner. Like the ditz behind me at the game who followed Gretzky team to team, and then cheered for whatever team was good after he retired. "But I'm not a bandwagoner!"

    Whatever.

Hehehe... at first I thought you were referring to someone who posted here and caused trouble under the name of "The Evil Hasek" but I quickly realized you were talking about the real Dominator!

I can admit that in recent years the Wings have puchased just the right spare parts to be very successful... but I look at it this way:

    1) I was a fan through all the tough years and it's a lot of fun now that they're winning so I certainly can't complain... I am going to enjoy the ride as long as it lasts (er, not including this year)

    2) Some of the players were developed in the Red Wing system, meaning a lot of time and money has gone into taking young players and teaching them how to win from within.

    3) The shrewd and successful roster moves the Wings have made are a testament to the skill, smarts, and dedication of the Wings' ownership & management. (This also applies to the Avs ownership and management). There are lots of other teams who try to make similar moves, but never get anywhere.

Although I don't enjoy the Ducks' style of hockey, I can appreciate the fact that they finally added the right elements to help them win... (er, that and a BLISTERING hot goaltender doesn't hurt either...)

    M

PS Can someone summarize for me really quickly who the favorite teams are here? I gather the Ducks are one... who else?

    A score
John our almighty leader - Wings even through the bad years since he's from Michigan
    Ducky - Avs/ Oilers/Canucks
Bill - whoever Ducky tells him to cheer for , but has admitted to seeing LA in their really ugly yellow uniforms
Miss F - Leafs fan closer to Detroit territory
Wayner - A Sharks fan who lives deep in Avs country
JR- Boston even though they totally don't deserve it.
LG- (who never visits here) is a Wild fan
Eva- Stars / Claude Lemieux fan in Canadien territory
    Zaius- LA
    Techno - Oilers/Ducks
    Bobmac- Calgary
Eny - Leafs and forced Sens fan by the NHL since I'm within the blackout area.(I'm hoping with new ownership, they may well be a permanent contender. The first years had a lot of REALLY bad sucky hockey.)
If I left anyone out who posts regularly add your name in , and I apologize !

Looks like John is the only one I can trust... jk...

Oooh Eny, you're a Leafs fan! I won't even go there this year...
