I've been logging into the Columbus Dispatch to read the preseason stories and I've made Buckeye Battle Cry my ringtone. I'm ready for some slobber-knocking smack-talking good times!

Penn St. coach lauded for service to school, state and philanthropic deeds
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Penn State football coach Joe Paterno has been nominated for the highest civilian award in the country.
Congressmen including Glenn Thompson, Mark Critz and Tim Holden say the Hall of Fame coach deserves a Presidential Medal of Freedom for his service to the Nittany Lions, the university and the State College community.
Their nomination letter to President Barack Obama says Paterno personifies sportsmanship on the field and academic achievement in the classroom while also noting Paterno's philanthropic efforts.
Paterno's 394 career victories are most among major college coaches.
A spokesman for Critz says Critz and Holden were approached by House staffers who are Penn State graduates to nominate Paterno and Thompson helped lead the effort. Thompson's district includes State College, about 150 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
That's great for him. I would like to see him retire and enjoy a life of leisure that he so well deserves and not try to hang on too long.

I have NOT been able to find the College Preview down here. I may go on a wider search today.
One good thing about moving back to Florida. I have friends with season tickets and one can't use his for the opening game. So I will be in THE SWAMP with 90,000 of my closest friends on Sept. 4th kick off with Miami (Oh)

Penn State plays Alabama on September 11. That should be interesting. I just hope it isn't a blowout.
That would be an interesting game Ashley. I wonder if I can get it down here.
Finally found the mag. Wow, going to be an interesting year in the SEC. Coaching changes, player changes. Going to be one of those years where just about anything could happen. But one thing's for certain: the SEC is going to make it 5 straight titles in a row!!!!!![]()
