But... I dont mind the trap, really. Hard work, determination, not very fast but... yeah. I don't mind it. I could think of worse things. Like baseball.

Boo trap.
I don't want excitement in the Stanley Cup Finals to have to manifest itself by way of fluke!
As I've said, I am a fan of hockey - both offensive & defensive... but when a team chooses to embrace defense and all but ignore the other half of the game, I find myself rooting against that style of hockey. We are at risk of two teams who play this style of hockey meeting in the Finals... what a nightmare...
I admit defensive hockey games can be exciting at times, but more often than not, they are a bore to me, even though I can appreciate the hard work that goes into trapping, wing locking, etc.
I am rooting for the Sens to make it tonight (sadly can't watch either as I'll be at Coldplay)... but if they don't, then I can only pray that hockey somehow resembles math, where two negatives produce a positive.
