Something about Del Potro reminds me a little of Eli Manning -- around the eyes, I think and I can see a resemblance to JFK, Jr and the guy from Heroes, as well. He does look older, doesn't he? Maybe it's the height.

Yeah, I think I know what you mean LS&S. Some people are annoyed by the way Rafa tugs on his pants -- I've always found that really endearing though.

Aha... him, too, without the intense eyes.

Another thought while watching last night.. I initially had a bit of empathy for Federer when the crowd got so into del Potro's play in the third set. It took Federer years to get crowd appreciation and here the US fans were so quickly jumping on the del Potro love train. But I have to give it to the NY crowd in that they were quite fair and balanced as they watched an exciting match on both sides.

    Duh! "Spoke" . . . . yeah, I meant SPOCK!!

And yes Chris, I find it endearing too. I even like the squinty left eye when he is serving.

And the totally adorable OCD habit of lining up the water bottles, LS&S? I find that totally endearing!

Yes, always two and always with the labels facing out. Wonder how that whole thing got started?

Not long ago, he went running for the sidelines to return a ball and knocked the bottles over. GASP! I think he went on to win that match, but it was a scary moment!
