Re: College Football 2009

Beaver Stadium went nuts when they announced the final score of the Ohio State game.

Pryor isn't shaping up to be all he was hyped up to be. I'm glad he didn't pick PSU.

Re: College Football 2009

Well last night Florida played fumble ball, but we still managed to pull out a win in the last 9 seconds. It was a nail biter tho and CBS is going to get an angry letter from me. We missed 4, FOUR snaps in teh first quarter because they were showing graphics instead of the game. I am so angry. This is NOT the first time they've done this this year. And then Gary Danielson says its because Florida runs the no huddle offense. Well, Gary, as you've been annoucing Florida games for CBS for years, I'd think you all know by now that Florida does that and adjust accordingly.
The Arkansas game was the game we were all expecting last week from LSU and not the snoozefest we got. THis week was certainly not a snoozefest, but many more games like that and I may have to get an at home defibrillator. Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes and they sacked Tebow 6 times. But I think we sacked their QB about 5.
And then Danielson also ticked me off when he called a facemask penalty "incidental" and they shouldn't have called it. HELLO? There's a reason for penalties like face mask and clipping. They can cause bad injuries which is why they carry 15 yard penalties, to discourage them.

Re: College Football 2009

I don't typically pay much attention to the rankings, but I cannot help but notice that Oklahoma is ranked 25th in the AP poll. Seriously...they are 3-3!?!? There are oodles of teams with better records...

But not necessarily schedules. Oklahoma lost to BYU, Miami, and Texas. Status and schedule will save them every time.

Re: College Football 2009

I was a little worried at first when Michigan came out and scored right away, but then Penn State put it in high gear and never looked back.

Unk, there are only two weeks until Ohio State comes to Beaver Stadium for what is sure to be the game of the season for Penn State. You sure you don't want to come over to PA and witness the Buckeye beatdown?

Apparently there is a rule that there aren't allowed to be any night games in the Big Ten in Nov/Dec so the big PSU/OSU game is going to be a 3:30 kickoff. Everyone is all up in arms about it around here because we want a prime time game with an evening White Out.

A little PAC 10 love here - Go Ducks! Next week should be interesting in Eugene on Halloween night vs USC. Props go to the OSU Beavers for giving USC a good contest.
