That's okay, it matches the way you play ball.

Quick, let's trade. You can play LSU today and we'll take Akron.

And in other college ball news:

WTH is up with #9 Blount from the Oregon Ducks team? This guy needs a serious reality check. He was ordered to leave the very first practice of the season for "behavior issues". Well, guess what? He still has 'em!!!!

Bench him for the year. Better yet, out you go. Get off campus, get out of town, in fact . . . . get out of Oregon.
Blount has been suspended for the year... The coach said Blount was still going to go to practice and attend school.

Re: College Football 2009

I did hear that Blount was suspended. Since it's his senor year, he's done playing college ball. I'm sure he's not worried about a career in the pros. The Eagles took in Michael Vick, so Blount's probably thinking he's already got a job somewhere.

Penn State Nittany Lions 31
Akron Zips 7

In case you are wondering (as was I) Zips is short for zipper, which is supposed to have been invented in Akron. The mascot is a kangaroo (although I'm not sure why!) and SHE is one of the 8 female college mascots.

Wow, Ohio State barely squeaked out a victory against Navy. As much as I wanted Ohio State to lose today, I actually want them to win their next few and come into Beaver Stadium undefeated. You know, so that way PSU can shatter any dreams they may have of a perfect season.

Re: College Football 2009

Ashley our non-conference games, heck even our conference games are not great this year. I don't know who made up the schedule, but they should be shot. We beat Charleston Southern 62-3. The line on that game was actually 73. So fairly close. I only got to watch part of the first quarter due to the new inlaws being here. Believe me, I'd have much rather watched a one-sided game. I'm holding out for Sept. 19 our first Conf. game against Tenn. and their new coach. We play Troy next week. I am not scheduling anymore stuff on Sat. until the end of Nov.

Re: College Football 2009

Hey Michigan fans, can you help a girl out? I'm planning on going out to Michigan Stadium for the Penn State/Michigan game. It will be my 3rd trip there. The first time I went, I bought tickets in amongst Michigan fans. The second time, I was in the Penn State (visitor's) section. Anyway, I can't find my ticket stub and can't remember what the section numbers are for the visitor's section in Michigan stadium. I want to start looking for tickets, but I think I want to be in the PSU section again. Sitting with Michigan people wasn't bad, they were all nice but I want to be with other PSU fans.

I've googled the heck out of this and I can't get a clear answer. So anyway, if any Michigan fans can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Re: College Football 2009

Got to put a little Rock Chalk in this thread Born in Lawrence, raised a Kansas Jayhawker and sooo happy to see that the Jayhawks are finally decent at football again and not just a basketball powerhouse.

However, I lived in Manhattan for several years and remember the late 90s when Kansas State was one of THE football teams for the Big 12, so a part of me will always hope that they grow their team back up. Bill Snyder is back after the debacle that were the "Ron Prince" years.
