I heard Tennessee is offering the Sun, the Moon, and all major Constellations (and about a zillion bucks) to try to lure Will Muschamp away from Texas. May be a hard sell: even though he's only getting paid a million a year to be Defensive Coordinator, Texas has promised him Head Coach when Mack Brown retires. Problem with that is, it's like Bobby Bowden/Jimbo Fisher--who knows When they'll retire.

That's probably the best description I've heard yet. And it's true.

I do feel sorry for those players. He's lucky he got out of the meeting as the students blocked the exit and he had to have a police guard. I'd call him a really ugly name, but the mods would delete my post.

Tennessee hired Vince Dooley's son as head coach. I don't know how I feel about this as I don't know much about the young man. I'll withhold judgment for right now.

Interesting Unk. I too shall have to wait and see.

The sons don't ALWAYS do as well as the fathers. As evidenced by the Bowden boys. Bobby even relieved his son from coaching responsibilities under him at FSU and Clemson got rid of the other one a couple years ago.

USF fired their coach too. And he had really done wonders with that very, very young football program. But choking a player doesn't sit well with your bosses apparantly.

Apparently Nebraska is going to make an announcement Friday that they are leaving their current conference and joining the Big Ten. Lame.

ETA: Here's an article. It says they haven't officially decided.

The Associated Press: Nebraska decision on Big Ten could come Friday
