Re: N F L 2009 With all the latest Brett Farve news, including his family buying that group of lodging for the GB- Viking game, it looks like we should consider starting a thread just on Farve's summer 09 antics?

Re: N F L 2009 I'd love to talk about anything BUT Brett Favre. I read that the Falcons released the rights to Michael Vick. No surprise. It'll be interesting to see which team signs him. I'm thinking the Raiders. He'd fit right in.

Re: N F L 2009 Roger Goodell suspended Donte Stallworth indefinitely w/o pay. **I'm glad to see Goodell step up and do the right thing. It's sad that the justice system only gave him a slap on the wrist. He was driving drunk and he killed a man. It's a serious offense and warranted a whole lot more than 30 days in jail. (which I bet will be cut in half with time off for "good behavior").

Re: N F L 2009 At least, Roger Goodell is trying to be consistent... first PacMan and now Donte. 30 days is a ridiculous sentence....

Vick, Stallworth and Burress . . . . put all of them in a leaky boat and I'd be there to push it away from the dock. The thought that anyone could still idolize any of them can account for alot of what's wrong with the world. Two of the three have connections to my area and the media is all over what ever they do. Please . . . could we have some news about local athletes who don't have an arrest record?

Re: N F L 2009 Breaking news: I read that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson have broken up. I wonder if this will help his football game since he won't be distraced by her in the stands?

Re: N F L 2009 Michael Vick is now eligible to come back to the NFL. What should Roger Goodell do? (a) Suspend him indefinitely like Donte Stallworth (b) Suspend him for 1 season (c) Suspend him for 4 games (d) Allow him to play now (if this is the option, what team do you think will/should sign him) (e) Another option which is (please provide the other option) I have my opinion, but I want to know what other people think.
