It was a fun game. I'm just glad tomorrow's game is on ESPN. I really hate when the games are on FOX because Joe Buck and especially Tim McCarver grate on my last nerve.

As a Red Sox fan, Michael Kay on the YES network is no bargain either. But those two are dreadful.

Manny Ramirez has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and will be suspended 50 games starting today, The Times has learned.

The test result and suspension is expected to be announced later today. The Dodgers informed triple-A outfielder Xavier Paul this morning that he was being promoted to Los Angeles.

I see this as both bad and good for MLB. It's bad, because it's Manny, such a big star. And that's exactly why it's good - it does show that no matter how big the name, the League is determined to clean itself up. I'm sure that Bud Selig would rather this hadn't happened, but since it did, he had no choice.

I'm a Boston homer, but I can't let that blind me, I'd be stunned to find out they didn't know. Sadly, I'm sure there are other Red Sox that are either currently cheating, or have in the past (Jason Varitek, I'm looking at you).
