Normally, I wouldn't start a thread this early but holy crap. Lute Olson after talking about how happy he was to be back after last year's leave of absence is apparently stepping down as Arizona basketball coach.

Man oh man! Did anyone catch the Penn State/Illinois men's game on ESPN last night? Penn State won with I think less than a second left. It was absolutely insane!! Our basketball team usually sucks, but we are okay this year!

I'll just have to watch them in the NIT and I'll cheer for Louisville (Pitino) to win the NCAA Championship.
Actually, sweet_lady, I think Arizona will still get in if they beat Stanford and win at least one game in the Pac 10 Tournament. They'll probably be the number 5 or number 6 seed for the Tournament (they are tied for 5th right now with WSU and USC). That means they will play either Cal or ASU in the first round. If they beat one of those two teams on a neutral court, that should be enough.Quote:

I don't know. Stanford has been real hot lately especially with that win last night over ASU. I'm sure it will be a good game though, as long as we stay out of foul trouble and we get another starter to score besides the big 3 (Wise, Budinger, and Hill). I still think the only way in is to win the tournament which I think they are capable of doing as long as they keep up there intensity from the first half game through the second half of the game.
If anyone is interested in a bracket pool I renewed the one from last year on yahoo.com fantasy sports. Group ID is #2603 and the password is. Picks can be entered starting Mar 15 and the pool closes on Mar 19. Make sure you pick all the games because once the pool closes you can't change anything.Click to see Spoiler:
It's just for fun - no prizes except bragging rights.
Great....I'm in!
Sounds great! I'm in!
