I know they are scheduled for Wed, Aug 20 through Sat, Aug 23. I haven't found anything about tv coverage though. There might be more information next week.

Completely agree. And because I've heard the argument that maybe they just look young because they are Asian and maybe we aren't used to the way they develop, I did some googling. The Chinese girls look young even next to the Japanese team. It's all in the curves. Even the youngest of the Japanese gymnasts, currently 15 but turning 16 later this year, actually had hips!

Re: Summer Olympics: Beijing, China

Are any athletes who have artificial limbs participating in the Bejing Olympics? I saw an ad with a male high jumper who had one leg amputated below the knee. I know some of the track and field sprinters think that the racing legs paraathletes use are an unfair advantage. So I wonder what the regs say about that?

I believe that those with artificial limbs must compete in the paralympics, b ut I'm not 100% sure. That ad is from Home Depot and if you read the stuff at the end, it says that the Home Depot proudly sponsors and employess Olympians and Paralympians.

I have issues with about 3 of them on the team.. after seeing in print that they were said to be 2-3 years younger. I also have issues with the fact that no one wants to do anything about it, or look in to it. But then again, its over its done.. what CAN you do at this point. they showed passports that said they were of age and i guess that is good enough for the IOC. All they can do is go forward from here and hope that they can put other measures in to avoid this in the future.

There is not one Gymnast on team USA that looks like a ten year old.
