| Re: Summer Olympics: Beijing, China well, you know there is nothing they can do especially if the govt states they are of age, signed sealed in their birth certificates and passports. Age cheating has been going on in gymnastics for years, especially the eastern europeens |

| Re: Summer Olympics: Beijing, China The IOC won't believe it until they catch the team sucking on Pacifers and wearing Pampers under their Leotards. |

| Re: Summer Olympics: Beijing, China I can see where you can't really say much on looks alone.. I still do not look my age (knock on wood and thank the lord!) but when there is baby teeth or missing teeth because a baby tooth fell out.. yeah that may be a tip off that they are a tad young!

I have issues with about 3 of them on the team.. after seeing in print that they were said to be 2-3 years younger. I also have issues with the fact that no one wants to do anything about it, or look in to it. But then again, its over its done.. what CAN you do at this point. they showed passports that said they were of age and i guess that is good enough for the IOC. All they can do is go forward from here and hope that they can put other measures in to avoid this in the future.

I think they all looked 11 or 12, especially compared to the US women. Maybe it is because the Chinese girls seemed to not have any curves at all and the US team were definitely developed. ![]()

| Re: Summer Olympics: Beijing, China I understand the age issue in terms of the whole "the rules should be respected and followed" issue. But would it really have made a difference in the outcome if the US was allowed to have younger competitors? Were there younger competitors in the US that could have done better than the ones chosen (honestly asking - not very familiar with US gymnastics)?
