    Re: Hockey 2008 - 2009

Yup, Canucks play Chicago on Thursday. Everyone I've talked to agrees it's going to be a brutal series. They are a tough team and the last time we played them there was a bit of a brawl on the ice at the end. Yikes. Hope our boys can keep their composure and not be drawn into taking penalties.

About the testy practice session. The two players are actually quite good friends, and yes it was a bit of pushing and stuff that stems directly from their desire to start playing again. They were fine afterwards apparently! It looks like Pyatt will rejoin the team for this round. So sad about his fiance, I'm sure he'll get a really warm welcome at GM Place tomorrow night.

Hopefully, the Pens will prove you wrong again!

Good job on the other 75%!

I hope it's okay to post this link. It is celebs and NHL players separated at birth! Some are really good! Ovechkin's is bad! Did you know that there was a 3rd Sedin?

I didn't get to see much of of the Caps/Rags game last night, but have heard the Caps were not the best team on the night.
Shame for the Rags, but that's what happens when you let the kind of lead they had slip.

Caps/Pens is the dream match-up and I'm hoping the Bruins take the Canes out in four.
Actually, no, make that five. Let the Bruins take the series on their own ice this time.

Yep, I'm hoping the Pens prove you wrong again, too.

    Wake up and be awesome

Those separated at birth pictures are so funny. It cracks me up that Nick Lachey was one of the celebrity look-alikes, I always said he had a face for hockey. lol.

Those darn Pens always seem to prove me wrong..
The Pens/Caps series is going to be the best one of the 2nd round, it has so many plot lines...Ovi vs Crosby, Malkin vs Ovi, Gonchar vs Green...I can't wait!!
I think it will come down to goaltending, if the rookie Caps goalie can continue to play well it will still be hard to beat Fluery who is a proven game stealer.

Well, I never got to celebrate Boston's sweep of Montreal in here, so.........

Now that I got that out...I hope Boston bounces back from last night's bad loss. The 2nd period was terrible...just terrible. Gut check time for the Bruins. Hopefully they can put this loss behind them and play a lot better on Wednesday.

    Gooo Ducks!

They're giving Detroit one heck of a fight.
