Yeah, I've known some hockey players in my day. Not good for much else.

I guess there's a reason they're athletes in the fourth sport.

Congrats to the Celtics!

This is really stupid, but you know the only thing that bothers me about them? The pronunciation of the team name. Though there is debate on the subject, I think it should be pronounced Kel-tics, not Cell-tics. Dumb pet peeve, I know, haha.

Re: NBA Playoffs 2008

Congrats to the Celtics! (You're right pakacat. As you well know, the proper pronunciation should be kel-tics.)

You've gotta be happy for the Celtics. The poor franchise couldn't even get into the NBA Championship playoff series for 21 years, let alone win one. In that time the Lakers went to the NBA Championship playoff series 7 times and were the NBA Champs 4 out of 7 times. Also, you have to forgive the actions of players like Kevin Garnett when he pulled that 'Kevin McHale' move on Odom. With over two decades of frustration, clearly the Celtics and their fans haven't forgiven the Lakers for winning more National Championships in the 80s as well as taking away their shot at back-to-back victories when last they met.

From Jay Leno:

It was SO hot in LA today that some of the Laker fans got delusional and held a victory parade!

Shaq didn't "win" the one in Miami--he was the teams 3rd leading scorer and could only average 13PPG against Erik Dampier for Gods sakes.
