    Aww, poor thing.
I forgot to make my picks this week.
I honestly don't think Vandy can do it either but I'm still pulling for them.
    Bama stays undefeated. Roll Tide.

I can't believe I'm this sad over a college football game. Our National Championship game went out the door an hour ago. I have no other words. I'm just so disappointed.

Yep, it's only halftime and Vandy is already down 35-0. This reminds me of my high school's football team. I'm glad I didn't waste my time going to the game and freezing my ass off in a sundress.

    Re: College Football 2008

The group here at my house about had a coronary when the kick was blocked and they had to go into overtime! My poor son, who is a TN fan (tho he's hiding his head in shame right now ) was praying for LSU to pull thru. He is ragged unmercifully at school for being a lonely TN fan surrounded by 'Bama fans

There was lots of whoopin' and hollerin' and jumping up and down here at my house when 'Bama made the TD. I wish I had had my camera out because when the reporter talked to Saban after the win, all 4 of the 'Bama adults here in my house stood at attention with their hats off their head and across their heart while THE man spoke!

    Re: College Football 2008

    bbnbama, that's too funny.

I can't believe that earlier in the season I actually worried about Florida playing Vandy this year. However, it's now obvious that our 2nd string QB needs a LOT of work before he can either join Tebow in the 2 man QB job that Tebow and Leak made famous or either take over for Tebow after next season. I actually thought that Brantley was playing for Vanderbilt there for a little while.

Ashley, while I feel bad for you, this definetly puts Florida in the running for a chance at the Nat'l championship game this year. One of the Florida fans had a "Thanks Iowa" sign at the game yesterday.

However, I qualify that with: if we can beat 'Bama for the SEC title.

We play SC next week. I can't wait. We're going to our favorite little restaurant/bar where they televise the games and watch it. We may get thrown off the deck as I'm sure we'll be the only 2 in Orange and Blue while everyone else pulls for the Gamecocks.

Only 3 more games left of the regular season. Seems like it just started darn it.

ETA: Florida moved up to No. 3. YES!!!

mrd- I'm currently at my gram's house in Florida and we went to a local place to watch the PSU/Iowa game yesterday. The place went nuts when PSU lost.

Keep your chin up. Remember last season? Ohio State lost late but still ended up going to the big game. I'll pull for you and PSU from here on out

HEY! Them's fighting words, Newf! It's PSU v MSU this weekend. If you pull for the Spartans and we can beat a demoralized PSU..... you'll take the Big Ten.

If you take pity on Ashley and root for PSU then you lose. What's up with that?

You have TWO weekends until the PSU/MSU game. We play Indiana this coming weekend. We should put a hurting on them and then come into the MSU game with guns ablazin'.

Also, I've read on ESPN that if MSU wins the rest of their games including PSU, they would actually be the Big Ten champs because of the teams they play in the out of conference schedule.

    Here's an exerpt from ESPN:
Jeremy from Toledo, Ohio, writes: Can you explain why MSU would win the tiebreaker if they finish the season tied w PSU,OSU by having only 1 in-conference loss?

Adam Rittenberg: If more than two teams are tied and they all have the same record (1-1) against one another, the next Big Ten BCS tiebreaker listed is games played against FCS opponents. Since Michigan State only has faced FBS teams, it would win the tiebreaker over both Penn State and Ohio State, which opened the season against FCS opponents (Coastal Carolina and Youngstown State).

ESPN - Big Ten Friday mailbag - Big Ten

So REALLY, Newf should be rooting for PSU to win. Plus, he loves me.
