I had an early night. Watch the Detroit/Anaheim game until the end of regulation and then I had to go to bed. Be damned if I was going to stay up until 2am to watch Detroit win. Of course, they didn't, so I'm a little bummed. That's what highlights are for though.

I'm bummed about Vancouver, but in a way, I'm glad they lost their first game. It will wake them up and make them play desperate hockey. They are a solid team, they'll be fine.

I think all of the #1 teams swaggered out ready for the sweep and it showed. I am especially shocked by the shutouts.It's the second season babies , the old rules don't apply.
