I have to say I am quite impressed so far by the Expos who beat the Braves 3 straight games. I know the season just started, but it's off to a good start! I like the Braves too (Mr. Lopez) but I have no doubt they can rebound quickly. It would be cool however to see the Expos go far with their small payroll and their average of 4000 fans a game!

The Expos did great, but they really need to generate fan interest up there somehow. The attendance in Montreal is pathetic.

Meanwhile, our long national nightmare is over: MARINERS WIN! MARINERS WIN!

The Braves have always had a hard time with the Expos for some strange reason. At least they finally won tonight.

I'm not too into the MLB scores yet, that'll be once the NHL playoffs are finished, but I have been seeing that the Expos are playing really well and winning many games. I guess they like Puerto Rico. (I'd like it too) I just hope they can continue to play that way all season and not die down like usual!

I was surprised to see this thread all the way on page 2. I guess there aren't a lot of baseball fans here. But I'll discuss baseball anyway . . . .

I'm a big Boston Red Sox fan. They just recently lost to the Yankees (of course) by tying up the game and then of course walking in the winning run. True Red Sox fashion.

They traded our third baseman Shea Hillandbrad (very good) for Byung-Hyun Kim of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Hopefully this guy can become a good closer for us since we already have Pedro Martinez as a good starter. We'll see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Huge Baseball fan. Love my Cincinnati Reds even though the management sucks, but boy we have some great young talent. Love our new park been to about 4 games so far. I have my other message boards to talk baseball on though. If anyone likes baseball sims check out Whatifsports.com - they also have football, BB but dont play those

I have to say that the Hillandbrand for Kim trade is a huge win for the Red Sox.

Kim will probably go into the rotation while Pedro is out, but he has great upside, and is a strong pitcher. Meanwhile Hillenbrand just isn't that good of a player. Had a good season last year, but he never walks, and is average in the field.

Yeah, I agree Bill. I think it was finally a smart trade for the Red Sox. I believe Hillenbrand was batting somewhere in the 300s though. But we already have good hitters. We definitely need some good, reliable, consistent pitchers.

Nice to see this thread back on page 1.

In case you weren't looking, the Mariners have the best record in the American League.
