Well I oughta..... :boxing
And yeah... we play them in the final game of the season on November 17. :teeth They had better win their second game by then or it's a losing cause. Sorry, Joe Pa!
Unk... as much as I want to be disappointed for Michigan because I normally root for them whenever they aren't playing us... I just can't. I'm enjoying these losses.. especially knowing that Michigan had to pay AppState for the pleasure of having them come to the Big House for what was supposed to have been an easy win at home. :teeth Oregon wasn't a shoein.

Well Florida's let Troy score another 17 points. But its still 52-24 at start of the 4th quarter.
Re: College Football 2007
OK, Michigan--one early-season loss is a fluke. To lose the second in a blowout, what's THAT all about? Do try to look competitive by the time the Ohio State game rolls around :rofl
Quack, quack, quack
I heard Carr kicked six players off of the team for having Aflac insurance.
Re: College Football 2007
Well my prediction for this years SEC conference game will be South Carolina for SEC East and I'm thinking possibly LSU for SEC West.
Florida has a very young defesne and that really showed last night in the 2nd half. We lost 75% of our defense this year so we have a new, untried bunch of players. While the offense is on the field, things look good, but the defense is just not quite together. And that showed last night at the amount of points we gave up in the 2nd half. No way should that score have been that high on Troy's side. Our defense was just sloppy. And I know next weeks game against TN will be a tough one. TN, LSU and SC are all going to exploit our defensive weaknesses. I was worried about Auburn, but after their defeat yesterday, maybe not. But we've got some tough opponnents coming up and I just don't see our young team being able to do what it did last year. Of course our defense didn't really start playing last year until the end of the season. But Meyer is trying to rely on special teams to make up for the weak defense and I don't think its going to help much. Stilll I hold out hope that I am wrong, but I don't think so. I don't think this season will be as good as last year. This is not the year of the Gator. Although they could surprise me, they have in the past. But I'm trying to be realistic and I'm afraid the reality is a young team for the most part. But look out next year!

Shame on you, giving up already, when your team is still undefeated :nono Being realistic isn't part of being a fan--how many times have fans yelled "We're #1" when in truth they are 0-7 and down by 3 touchdowns? Now get back into Fan Mode, and start foaming at the mouth!:cheer
Besides, it's not as much fun to tease you when you're realistic :tongue
Congratulations to Penn State for defeating the forces of evil from Notre Dame :up

You're right of course, being a fan is not about reality at all. Downing my orange wig and painting my face blue and orange and getting already for next week's game. Go Gators. :cheer
And I've certainly supported them through a lot of really lean years and of course I will this year. But after reading this mornings papers and seeing who won and which ones of those teams we are playing, I tend to get down in the mouth about our chances. Of course, this time last year, I would never have dreamed we go and win at the national level. So who knows. I'm just disappointed by the defense yesterday.
But I'm going to get back on the bandwagon at least for one more week. But next week we start through 7 straight conference games without a break. Gonna be rough.
See what I do for you Newf? :cheek I wouldn't dream of depriving you the chance to tease me.
Re: College Football 2007
I read an article somewhere today that said USC should be number 2 and and LSU should be ranked number 1 in the country. I'm a little surprised by that considering USC's only played one game so far. I think Nebraska will be a tough test next week but I think USC still deserves their number 1 ranking.
Gotta support my Trojans!

Could you imagine if the USC (CA) Trojans played the USC (SC) Gamecock's?
I wouldn't want to be one of the commentators at that game. As most people around here drop the word "game" in the schools mascot name, it could be a really embarrassing game to call on national tv, especially when talking about man and zone coverage. :lol

I usually work with the people at my school who broadcast games (for our student radio station) and I'm imagining it right now. It would be quite humorous! :rofl
