    Re: College Football 2007

Wow, USC fell to number 10 in the polls. Florida fell to 13, but USF moved up to 5.

I'm now pulling for LSU for the championship. I think the SEC game will be LSU vs So. Carolina and LSU probably playing Ohio State for the title game.

USC stunk. But the fans really got to me. They booed the team as they came onto the field. Their team! Because of the game the week before. The fans have gotten so spoiled. I still love the Trojans, but I couldn't help feeling extremely happy for Stanford. They deserved to win. SC's coaching staff had the attitude that all they had to do was show up.

It just goes to show...the higher the monkey climbs, the more he shows his ass.

I'm headed back to the Coliseum on Saturday, for the SC-Arizona game. I'm expecting a humbled and subdued crowd.

Hey Trojan fans, Mark Sanchez is the starting quarterback at tomorrow's game against Arizona! Maybe this will shut-up all the fans calling for John David Booty's head on a plate. Either Mark will shine or USC will be down 2 games....?

I expect to see the run, run, run offense, so that Sanchez doesn't have to throw the ball much.

Sanchez could be the future of the Trojans.... should be very enlightening, if they open it up and let him throw.

So will this end the pre-season Heisman talk about Booty?

Better watch what I say, it could be my team's turn to suffer the biggest-upset-ever against Kent State.

Unless something unexpected happens (and there has been LOTS of that) I highly doubt JDB is on anybodies list for the Heisman.

But then again... who'd of guessed that Stanford would beat USC?

First Joe Pa's driving and now this:

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- A Penn State football player was arrested Friday and charged with raping a woman at her on-campus apartment.

Austin Scott, 22, was arraigned on charges of rape, sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault. All are felonies.

Scott, a popular starting running back, declined to comment as he left the courtroom.

The alleged victim told police said she was raped in a Nittany dorm complex room in the early morning hours of Oct. 5. Police said the woman met Scott at a bar earlier that night.

Scott's lawyer, Joseph Amendola, said the "interaction" with the woman was consensual.

Coach Joe Paterno suspended Scott later that day, saying the tailback had violated an unspecified team rule. Scott remains enrolled at Penn State.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
Not the kind of distractions they need right now.

I hear that adult beverage. What a shame. Although Austin Scott fumbles the football if you breathe on him, he really is a talented player. It's a shame for this kind of attention to be brought to Penn State.

I'm off to the PSU/Wisconsin game. It's homecoming so it's sure to be a crazy game.

Good luck to those Buckeyes, Unk.
