| Re: Hockey 2007-2008 It's trade deadline day and there have already been a few big moves. Brad Richards to Dallas along with Johan Holmquist for Mike Smith, Jussi Jokinen and Jeff Halpern. Belak from the Leafs to Florida for a 5th round pick. Salei from Florida to Colorado for Karlis Skrastins. Brian Campbell to San Jose for Steve Bernier and a 1st round pick (Campbell was very emotional about leaving Buffalo). It's also being reported that Foote has returned to the Avs, no details about who will be going to Columbus. ETA. Huet to Capitals for 2nd round pick in 2009. Martin LaPointe from Blackhawks to Sens for a 6th rounder. Fedorov from Blue Jackets to Capitals for Teddy Ruth.

| Re: Hockey 2007-2008 It's kind of interesting that the Avs will now have Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote back on the team, rejoining the injured Joe Sakic. Are they trying to recapture their glory years? Shame they are all old men now. ![]() | |

| Re: Hockey 2007-2008 Well, it's really coming down to the wire in the race for playoff spots. Both conferences have pretty tight races. | Re: Hockey 2007-2008 Logically I know my lovely JBo's Florida Panthers will miss out again, but I have to hold out slim hope that they'll make it. They can pretty much only afford to lose one of their remaining games and must win against Carolina and Washington twice, in regulation. Carolina has a hex on Florida, they just can't beat them, so I don't think it's possible they'll make it, but I live in hope.

| Re: Hockey 2007-2008 Oilers have been on a tear last couple of weeks. Playoffs would be icing but staying out of the bottom 5 and the horrible possibility of giving the sucky Ducks a #1 pick is the cake. ![]() Please, please Oilers just keep winning. ![]()

| Re: Hockey 2007-2008 No offense PugMum but I sincerely hate the Ducks. Sorry. The thug/liar that is wearing the C for your team killed any affection I had for them when they were Mighty.Penner (aka Big Boy) may be good but he's not worth a 1st pick overall.
