Heh... did you SEE the hit, JR?

Love the comment from Burke: ""Our view of the hit is that there shouldn't have been a suspension," Burke said. "The player wasn't injured. He finished the game. He got a couple of stitches, which would have been preventable if his helmet was properly attached. " Moron!

Fairly typical of the attitude Burke has to rough plays.
No conicidence he was the GM of Vancouver during the Bertuzzi incident, that he bought super-thug Brad May to Anaheim or that Anaheim has more fighting majors than any other club this season.
As I said earlier, by that logic Simon would not have received the 25 game suspension he got for swinging his stick at the face of Hollweg

I do agree with his point regarding the helmets.
I find it entirely mindless that many, if not most players refuse to cinch their chin straps.
You never see NFL players with their chin straps flapping loose.
The potential for injury to the head in hockey is almost as great as in football I would have thought
I have never understood why the NHLPA does not at least encourage the players to wear their helmets properly so they afford maximum protection.
The PA is always very concerned that players not be forced to do anything they do not want to do though, even if it comes at the expense of safety apparently.

Buffalo has been such a good team all season I would never have believed they would have come close to getting swept by Ottawa, even as good as team as Ottawa is.
I think Buffalo might win the next one and Ottawa will wrap it up in six.
If it goes back to Buffalo for a seventh then anything can happen.
Buffalo would be on such a high at that point after coming back from the brink it's be hard to bet against them taking the series.
That's a long way off though.

I'm quite happy that Ottawa made it into the finals. First time in about 80 years and the third consecutive Canadian team to make it in as many years. All of thses things are very nice, but now I just hope that they can do something with it!

I'm cheering loudly for Ottawa, love watching them play.
There's just something different about them them this season.
    They seem very focussed.
I don't care for Anaheim's style of play and as I said before don't want to see Pronger or May raise the cup.

Ottawa has a little extra incentive to win the cup this season too.
    This is a tear-jerker.
